Rightway Driving School partnered with PCYC Crestmead's BTC program in July 2014. Rightway Driving School assists with the Braking the Cycle program by providing a car and qualified driving instructors to assist in training new mentors and volunteer time to help on the program with new learner drivers.

With Rightway supplying a fully maintained vehicle plus a generous donation per month towards fuel expenses this has meant that we are able to assist more young learners in their quest of attaining their 100 hour driving requirement. This is a significant saving to BTC as we have been able to free up funds that would have been allocated towards the lease and maintenance of another vehicle. We are now able to run a two car site where we offer both automatic and manual sessions and direct some of our resources towards getting our learners job ready for when they achieve their licence.

Because of this we are sitting in excess of 90% employment rate for our licenced drivers, a huge achievement in today’s job climate and proving that with the right direction and support our younger generation are able to become contributing members of our community.

With the skilled driving instructors being able to assess all of our new learners to the program and training new mentors on the correct way to teach driving it is an invaluable opportunity for all involved. It addresses all of our safety concerns and also helps improve the driving of our mentors in their day to day life.

The sponsorship of a fully maintained vehicle along with a generous monthly contribution towards fuel and the skilled driving instructors who attend BTC representing Rightway Driving School are invaluable. The experience and professionalism of our sponsor is a significant factor in the relationship that has developed between BTC Crestmead and Rightway Driving School in a short span of time. This is a solid foundation to build on for all involved. The safety aspect is paramount for all learners and mentors. With the skills of Howard and his team, we can keep our mentors as safe as possible and armed with the correct knowledge of road rules. Our mentors in turn pass this on to our young people, making the roads safer for everyone.
Due to the generous donation from Rightway we have been able to achieve in excess of 20 manual licences since they came on board in July 2014, and of those licences the majority of young people now have employment. This is a significant outcome and the reason why we are so proud of Braking the Cycle and our sponsors who contribute to our program. Without them we would not have achieved the outcomes we are at today.
